Model Citizen is a boutique photo studio and creative space in Atwater Village, Los Angeles, with reasonable day rates... and no attitude. Located east of the L.A. River next to Silver Lake, Atwater Village has long been a secret stash of creative force in Los Angeles. Model Citizen Studios is just across the boulevard from the Beastie Boy's legendary G-Son Studio and Grand Royal Records. The building itself was an originally built as movie theater back in the day but was transformed into a creative space in the late 70's. Before it's most recent life as a photo studio it was the home of Bongload Custom Records, the acclaimed record label that put out the early releases of Beck as well as Kyuss, Wool, Fu Manchu and The Obsessed.
